Class Description

Sound Beginnings is a playful education and music course to develop intelligence and confidence in your youngest children, in a setting of music, play, and parental nurturing! Sound Beginnings is an ideal preparation course for Let's Play Music and Kindergarten!


Ages 

Ages 0-4 + Parent/Caregiver.

*Younger siblings are welcome to attend class, but once a child is no longer in arms (sitting, rolling, crawling, etc.) they must be enrolled in the class.


Cost

Single Child Tuition: $180 per 15-week semester or $45/month for 4 months.  Classes are weekly for 30-minutes.

Family Rate Tuition: If enrolling 2 or more children in any Sound Beginning's class a family rate is available.  The price for 2 children registered in any sememester is $220 per 15-week semester or $55/month for 4 months.  Additional children can be enrolled for +$40 a semester. Classes are weekly for 30-minutes.  


Registration Fee: a non-refundable $15 per family per semester. This covers Instrument Day and/or recital fees, studio/class prizes and treats, class materials and copies and miscellaneous studio expenses.


Materials: $42.50 (+tax/shipping/processing) for a full set during the 1st  semester (payable through letsplaymusicsite.com when enrolling).  Materials include a semester instrument, student workbook, and album.  A tote bag should be purchased the first semester enrolled.  

        Subsequent semesters sets can be purchased for $35 and includes the semester instrument, student workbook and album.  Sibling sets are available for $21 and include the workbook and semester instrument.

All classes are taught at Mrs. Amanda's home studio located in Kansas City, Missouri 64157.

You can join a Sound Beginnings class at any time during a 15-week semester!  Those who join a class after the 1st month of classes, will be charged a pro-rated tuition.

Class Description

Let's Play Music is a three-year music theory course that emphasizes total musicianship through piano playing, singing, classical music, note and rhythm reading and ear training and it's accomplished through play! 


Ages

1st Year Students - Beginnings ages 4-6

*Parents come every other week.


2nd Year Students - Ages 5-7, must have finished 1st year LPM

*Parents come once per month.


3rd Year Students - Ages 6-8, must have finished 2nd year LPM

*Parents come once per month. 


Cost

1st Year (Red Balloons & Blue Bugs) - 45-minute weekly classes

Registration Fee: $25 (annually) non-refundable

Tuition: $440 per year or $60/month over the 8 month program.

2nd Year (Green Turtle Shells & Yellow Arrows) - 50-minute weekly classes

Registration Fee: $25 (annually) non-refundable

Tuition: $560 per year or $70/month over the 8 month program

3rd Year (Purple Magic & Orange Roots) - 60-minute weekly classes

Registration Fee: $25 (annually) non-refundable

Tuition: $640 per year or $80/month over the 8 month program.

Class Description

Let’s Play Music BRIDGE is the next step for Let’s Play Music Graduates who want to continue total musicianship education with a piano focus.  it is a year long class divided into 2 - 15 week semesters.  Students will build upon all of the principles and concepts covered in the first three years of LPM.


Ages

Ages 7-10, must have finished 3rd year LPM

*Unlike the LPM 3-course program, parents do not attend this class with their child, however they are always welcome to stay and observe.



Cost


30 - 60 minute classes (Fall - Spring) 

Registration Fee: $25 (annually) non-refundable

Tuition: $680per year or $85/month over the 8 month program.

Health and Safety Policies

Please know that the local area and CDC guidelines are observed in this studio to maintain the health and safety of all participants with the class and all studio events.  As changes to local health mandates are made some of these policies may be altered.  We ask that all persons participating in the studio respectfully adhere to these policies for the safety of everyone.


  • FACE MASKS: Masks are not required for adults or students, however if a family determines that they want to wear face masks, please feel free to do so.  I leave this (at this time) to the discretion of each individual family and their comfort.
  • HAND SANITIZER: Mrs. Amanda will ask that each child and parent use hand sanitizer BEFORE entering her home (will provide on front porch) AND each class member will also use hand sanitizer periodically throughout class before turn taking activities, or as needed. 
  • SURFACE SANITATION: Mrs. Amanda will disinfect all shared surfaces (doorknobs, instruments, class manipulatives, etc.) before each class. 
  • CLASS SIZE: Mrs. Amanda will limit classes as best as possible to 8 students total. 
  • STAY HOME WHEN SICK: Students and parents agree to NOT attend class in person if they or any household member exhibit symptoms of Covid-19 or other communicable illnesses (colds, flu, strep throat, etc). If a household member tests positive for Covid-19, it is the parent’s responsibility to notify Mrs. Amanda so she can adjust classes as necessary. This information will be kept private. 
  • ONLINE OPTION: If you or your child is sick you may temporarily attend class virtually via ZOOM if attendance in-person is not possible.  (In-person attendance is always the preferred and recommended option.) Please notify Mrs. Amanda AT LEAST 1 HOUR BEFORE CLASS BEGINS if you would like to join the class virtually.
  • CLASS ADJUSTMENTS: In the event of community spread of COVID-19 within our music class or due to county/state restrictions, in-person classes will either be postponed, or temporarily moved to online instruction.
